1951 CHEVY IN GREAT SHAPE. HAS THE ORIGINAL ENGINE & TRANNY (CONDITION UNKNOWN) & REAR END THAT ROLLS FINE. DOOR GLASS AND BACK GLASS MISSING, FRONT GLASS THERE BUT NEEDS REPLACING.
SEAT, GAUGES, DOOR HANDLES ETC ARE IN TRUCK BUT OBVIOUSLY NEED RESTORATION. BODY IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE COMPARED TO MOST YOU'LL SEE. FLOOR PANS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE HAVING ONLY A CRACK (NOT RUST) ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, JUST NEEDS WELDING. CAB CORNERS HAVE A FEW TINY PIN HOLES BUT NOT ROTTED AT ALL. THERE ARE A FEW DINGS ON BODY BUT NO BONDO OR BODY MODS. HOOD WILL NEED SOME WORK DONE TO THE HINGES BUT EVERYTHING IS THERE. GRILL IS IN GOOD SHAPE AS WELL. SOMEONE HAD PAINTED OVER THE ORIGINAL PAINT WITH CAN SPRAY PAINT. WE SANDED IT A LITTLE ON LEFT SIDE TO EXPOSE PATINA. OVERALL A GREAT BUILDER. TRUCK IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
