G body El camino frame with original suspension and rear end, new front and rear brakes this last month, power brakes power steering. 1969 chevy 250 straight 6 motor rebuilt with some chrome, new carb split Clifford headers, straight pipe no mufflers, 350 tranny, new aluminum radiator, 90 chevy steering column w shifter on column and key. new Dolfin dual quad gauges w period insert, clean rebuilt dash and new lock in glove box, new electric single wiper motor, all new glass-some not installed, windows works, nice white marine grade rolled seat and new blue carpet- not installed. I also have more material for door panels and dash if you want. white moon steering wheel, new painless electric 12 fuse panel, new exterior door handles with locks, all locks work not installed. all fenders are glass, running boards nice, one needs a touch of work, no major dents, ZERO rust on this truck. grill outer shell needs a little work, Beautiful re-chromed grill shell and head light rings, chrome reverse universal rims with baby moon caps in nice shape, firestone 650/15 white walls are good, will clean up. I have paint if you want it and a home made tonneau top that needs the cover put on it. Aluminum 12 gallon tank from speedway never gas in it with new sending unit, new headlights with invisible turn signals, new chrome short nerf bars for front and long oval nerf bars out for back, not installed, I have boxes of odd parts to go with, email me for more info or pics |

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
