This is absolutely a stunning car that just received a full 100% nut and bolt restoration.stripped completely to metal and brought back to the amazing condition it sits in right now. It'll please even the most particular collector. Painted in a deep Toyota speedway blue and accented with the flawless black vinyl top. All trim whether stainless or chrome has been polished or plated to bring it back to 72 new. Body is unbelievably straight as are the floors, rockers etc. it does wear all the ss badging even though its a clone. All glass is new or polished and virtually flawless and a light tint applied. Int is stunning in itself. Bucket highbacks, console with gauges, hurst shifter,am fm radio for tunes as if you would ever need any and the entire int package is new and flawless. Undercarriage is spotless. All new suspension front and rear, new HD sway bars front and rear, air shocks on the back just to give it a tiny bit of lift and 1.5 drop spindles up front. Bring this beast to a stop is done via the 4 wheels power disc brakes with working parking brake and an electric vacuum pump to make sure it's always got plenty.now the heart of this beast is a brand new crate ZZ4 350 that was rated at 335 in itself but the owner wanted a tad more. It now sports a mother thumper camshaft to shake the ground. Breathing is done thru a new pair of RHS aluminum heads, a air gap eldebrok intake and a 750 double pumper. Spent gases exit thru the coated headers and dual flowmasters exhaust. When this baby's running it talks and talks with authority. Power is sent to the rear thru a brand new centerforce clutch pack and the Tremec TKO 600 5-speed and then on to the Chevy 8.5 4.11 posi with auburn unit. This restoration was a true labor of love with over 2 years in the making and attention to detail shows. Everything works as it should including the backup lights. Don't wait 2 years and more money than has been spent on this baby to hit the street in muscle car style.this car is basically brand new with less than 250 miles on it now

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
