1972 Chevy Nova, This is a clean 72 that has a 396, 4-Speed Muncie, Front Disc brakes. I have put heart and soul into the restoration of this beautiful classic. It is drop dead gorgeous! The Nova has a wonderful back story to much to share. I searched long and hard to find this Nova and it is a one man, two hand classic that has been restored top to bottom. This beautiful classic is nearly a stock restoration with the exception of the BB 396 in which I found in a 1965 Chevelle SS. G.M.M-20 4-Speed wide ratio Muncie in which both have just break in time on them. This fine classic sports beautiful coat's of Cortez Silver which was done by a personal friend/classic restoration specialist locally. No bondo!!! New 2" cowl induction hood. The interior is stock yet redone back to original/new. All lines, hoses, clamps, cables, bolts and weatherstripping including felts are new. This Nova breathe's fire with it's 396 having over 540 HP! New Holley 650 DP, Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Edelbrock aluminum water pump and Concept One pulley system. Smooth shifting with the Muncie 4-Speed M-20 wide ratio transmission and the McLeod hydraulic clutch setup. G.M. stock 8.5 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 gear for cruising. They just do not build'em like this any more. You are basically buying a New 1972 Chevrolet Nova and will not be disappointed in bidding/buying this classic muscle car. Documented restoration on this awesome Nova, if you have questions please feel free to email. Not a true SS just better than. Clean/Clear Title. Serious inquiries only! Thanks for looking! SLH

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
