Beautiful 1974 Chevy Nova Custom SS! Recently rebuilt 406 SBC motor and aftermarket 5 speed tranny. It has BRAND NEW Cragar Eliminator wheels! I have been the proud owner for over 2 years. I have added a custom RFID alarm system and power door locks. The only real flaws in the vehicle are: interior does not have a headliner or seat belts to go with it, the fuel gauge does not work correctly, there is small rust spots on the rear fender flare and it needs headlight bezels. Also, the Nova does not come with the 22" in a few of the above pictures. I have switched them to the Cragar Eliminators.
The body itself is in GREAT condition. The Nova has been in storage for about a year. It runs and starts great and is a real head turner! I just don't drive it anymore because i have it as a show car but i don't have time for that scene anymore, and I hate to see it sit in storage when it deserves so much more.
If anyone would like additional pictures, please let me know!
Thank you for your interest!

Chevrolet Malibu gets across-the-board price cuts, hopes to dig out of slump

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

To say that things aren't going well for the newly redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is a pretty sizable understatement. Reports have been swirling about the Malibu getting an emergency design refresh, less than a year after its introduction, as well as having its production at the Fairfax Assembly Plant halted twice already this year for excessive inventory. Now, Motor Trend is reporting that the midsize sedan will be receiving price drops across the board ranging from $300 on a number of models up to $770 on the 1LT trim; offsetting some of MSRP drop, though, the destination charge has increased from $760 to $810.
Without destination, the entry-level Malibu LS now starts at $21,995, which is still about $300 more than a Honda Accord and about $300 less than the segment's top-selling Toyota Camry. This new pricing also drops the price of the Eco, 2LT and 3LT trims by $300. The LTZ trim has dropped by $415, meaning that the Malibu's top dog now starts at just under $30,000, excluding destination.
Here are the new starting prices for all eight of the Malibu trim levels compared to the previous prices for the 2013 model year (including destination):

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.
