1966 Chevy Nova 2 door hardtop, Super clean top and bottom! The color is Tropic Turquoise with black vinyl interior. The body on this car is extremely straight and clean. The underside of the car was done to match and still looks great. The pictures of the undercarriage speak for themselves. The chrome and stainless on the car is very nice. The glass is all good with the exception of a light scratch on the rear window which is barely noticeable unless pointed out. The paint looks great with a smooth deep gloss. The car was completely restored in the 1990's and the only paint work that was done since then was a repaint of the hood and the color match is slightly off but barely noticeable unless pointed out. The car still retains the original 283 that was bored .030 and now has a mild Crane camshaft. The engine has an Edelbrock Durashine intake and carbureator, Sanderson headers, an electric fan, Billet valve covers and air cleaner, stainless radiator and heater hoses, and a Lokar dipstick tube. The transmission is a rebuilt Powerglide. The engine bay is very clean with chrome hood hinges, shock mounts, and hood latch. The car has only been driven about 12,000 miles since the completed restoration. The black vinyl interior is very clean with no tears or wear spots. The seats are original, the steering wheel and gauges are not original. The car has an am/fm cassette player with Pioneer speakers. The trunk is clean with some wear on the trunk mat. The spare wheel and tire are not included. The engine starts easy and runs and sounds strong with a "throaty" dual exhaust. The transmission shifts great. The car has front disc brakes and a dual master cylinder. It does not have power steering or brakes. The door jams are crisp and clean. The All American Torque Thrust wheels and tires are less than 2 years old. The car was an original Texas car that was restored in Texas in the early 1990's and has been a show car ever since. The car won the Nova Nationals in Houston, Texas in the 1990's. It has always been garaged and well cared for since it has been in Ohio. Thanks for looking and good luck! The buyer is responsible for transport and all funds must clear before the car leaves our possession. Sorry, I will not reveal the reserve.

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
