1966 Chevrolet Nova Chevy Ii on 2040-cars
Beatrice, Nebraska, United States
I am listing a 1966 Chevy II Nova for sale for a friend. The copper metallic paint is shiny however not new paint and has a few blemishes here and there, age of the paint is unknown. The car has most of the original trim including the rocker moldings, grille and chrome front and rear bumpers. Windows have been tinted. The car has a short style cowl induction hood. The black interior consists of bucket seats with vinyl and cloth inserts and the rear seat was stitched to match the front. Interior has center console and a Sony cd/mp3/am/fm player in dash stereo. There are also a set of aftermarket gauges under the dash and a column mounted tachometer. Inside the truck is a very nice spatter finish and a reproduction trunk mat for a clean look. The rear quarters were replaced prior to paint and the car shows no signs of rust as the car was purchased from the south. The engine is a Walden built 383 with a hydraulic roller cam, Edelbrock high rise intake, aluminum heads, Holley carburetor and ceramic coated headers that flow into Flowmaster exhaust. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator. There is just the right combination of aluminum and chrome under the hood to set it off. The transmission is a built TH350 with stall converter. The 3 speed automatic is on the floor with a Cheetah Turbo Action shifter. The rear end is a 12 bolt with an Eaton carrier 3.42 posi. The wheels are Billet Specialites with 185/65/15 radials up front and 235/60/15 Mickey Thompson Drag radials in the rear and the tires are near new all the way around. Disc brake conversion on the front. The car is very snappy, fun to drive and handles well. The car looks great and drives like it should and was built to run and cruise at the same time. Thanks for looking and if you have further questions, please contact the owner for specifics and any other inquiries you might have at (402)806-2462. GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices
Mon, 21 Oct 2013The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
