1965 Chevy Ii Nova Ss on 2040-cars
League City, Texas, United States
Orginal Super Sport. Had factory fuel injection when new, but not now. I have the Fuel Injection emblems, and the fenders have holes stamped in them, not drilled. I only wish I had more to back up that, but I do not. Many people dispute this. I have emblems, and they fit the stamped holes perfectly. Rebuilt 327 40 over, from a 69 Bellaire, Carter AFB, Hooker wheel well headers, 6 qt deep rear sump oil pan, new 4 row radiator, rebuilt Muncie 4 speed, 12 bolt w/ 4:56 gears. Rear has Centerline rims with special offset and 225/60R15 BF Goodrich. Front has American Racing rims, and P185/60/14. New interior. Needs alot of body work. Car has been in my family since 1969. I have a lot of spare parts. Short list below of highlights; New NOS Grill (In addition to fact that the grill and front bumper were replaced in 78, and are still pretty good). Extra used trunk moulding, new door panels, new Fuel Injection emblems, new 3/8 sending unit, restored tag light, new LH Parking Light (not NOS) And much more. List available if you have excel I can email it to you. I have many receipts. 65 models have a lot of one year only parts. Especially SS. I have assembly manual, printed service records, original owners manual, brochures, technical specs, and more. I have had this car since 1976. My Dad had it before that. He drag raced it in D Modified Production. |

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes
Wed, 31 Oct 2012It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
