1963 Chevrolet Nova II

Up for auction is this very clean little Chevrolet Nova II. This is a great little running and driving car, the motor is a small block Chevy that doesn't smoke and starts very easily. The transmission is a turbo 350 that shifts very nicely. The rear end is a GM 10 bolt. The car has been converted to five lug and the front power disc brakes work extremely well.

The interior appears to be stock and very complete. The front bench seat needs to be recovered. The door panels are in good shape and appear to be complete. The dash is in good condition with no holes or missing pieces. The instrument cluster functions properly. The rear seat is complete and will also need to be recovered.

The body of the car is very complete, all the trim is with the car and very usable. The sheet metal is all original, the quarters are in good condition with some minor rust spots, only about 2" in diameter (see pics). the doors are very solid with minor door dings. The windows roll up and down very easily. The fenders are very solid with only minor door dings. The hood is solid with no visible damage. The doors open and close with little effort. The trunk floor is solid with minor rust spots in the corners that again are only a couple inches in diameter. The floor is very solid with no visible rust, as is the chassis and rockers. The car really is extremely clean. The bumpers are really clean as far as rust goes. They have some small dents but could be replated easily.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
