Up for bids is a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This is a very clean, nice, sharp, sporty Monte Carlo. If you've been looking for a nice car at a great price this is it. This car has the 3400 engine with the automatic trans. The engine runs great and the trans shifts fine as they should. The AC and all options work as they should. I did notice the drivers window up button  has to be finessed a little but always works, just got to move it just right, this is an easy fix if it bothers you. The interior is very nice with no rips or tears and only minimal fading and no major stains. The carpet is nice and no major staining anywhere. Door panels, dash pad etc are all good with only normal wear for a 2002 model. All in all the inside of this Monte Carlo is above average condition guys, you would be pleased with it. The exterior paint is very nice and shiny. The rear bumper has a small damaged spot on it but its nothing major, think theres a pic of it. The only rust on the car is a very small place in the front edge of the drivers side rear wheel well, not sure what caused that unless it got nicked at some time, it has been touched up to keep it from getting worse. Again not major at all, just wanted to mention it so you will know exactly what youre bidding on. This Monte Carlo has the spoiler on the trunk which really adds to the looks of this car. Theres also a black and red pinstripe down the sides that looks nice also. The exterior of this car guys is very clean and the trunk and door jams are also very clean so you know this car has been well taken care of all its life. The wheels are nice with only minimal clear coming off as they all do after awhile, tires are about new.  Guys and gals that's about all I know to tell you other than if you are the winning bidder of this sharp Monte Carlo you will be very pleased. This car has a very high NADA book value so the buy it now is a steal on a car this nice so don't miss out. If you have less than 10 positive feedback you must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. Also I reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell locally. Checkout my feedback guys as its well over 550 and all good. You don't get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. Rest assure youre dealing with an honest ebayer. If you need this car shipped I can help with that also or the car can sit here awhile till you can arrange to pick it up as long as its paid for according to the auction terms. Also the car has a clean, clear WV title ready to go. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide you decide to bid on this very nice, clean, 02 Monte Carlo.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
