2001 Monte Carlo Ls 3.4l V6, Clean Title, No Dents, Minor Scratches, No Cel on 2040-cars
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Condition: As I mentioned in the "condition description" I replaced the engine at 150k miles with an engine that has under 100k miles. The actual mileage of the engine that I installed now has around 90k miles on it. No rust. There are minor scratches (one very small scratch on the hood, driver side of rear bumper, and on the passenger side of the wheel well see pics***) and no dents. The AC system is working but needs to be recharged. The brakes (front and rear) are like new with hardly any wear on them. The tires are a little over a year old with plenty of meat still on them (I purchased them brand new). The interior is in excellent condition (meaning no holes in the seats and all other parts such as the dash are in one piece). I also replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, vent solenoid, purge solenoid, thermostat, and throttle position sensor. The headlights are also aftermarket and like new. Features: Aftermarket headlights, gold level brakes (front) and platinum level brakes (rear), K&N washable air filter, Brand new Battery, Inspection is current and good through July/2015. Title is clean. History: I am not the original owner. I actually purchased the vehicle at an auction from a dealer. Shipping and Payment: I do not have any particular shipping method in mind as I have never done this before but I'm sure we can arrange something if you are unable to come pick the vehicle up yourself. I am accepting payment through PayPal only. |

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
