I have the original paperwork and owners manuals . . . it was bought new locally . . . it has a brand new 406 four bolt (400 #3951511 bored 30 to 406) that has been professionally machined and built . . . I have all receipts . . . the engine has less than 300 (three hundred) miles on it . . . it has Brodix IK 200 heads that have also been totally remachined and worked . . . the engine has the best of everything such as . . . Keith Block pistons, Comp cams gold roller rockers, Edelbrock 7501 intake, all ARP bolts, 12-423-8 Comp Cams hydraulic roller and so on . . . it is estimated to have about 550hp . . . it has a worked r700 trans with overdrive and quicksilver ratchet shifter . . . brand new Firestone Indy 500 street tires . . . new viper alarm and new amfm cd with Bluetooth . . . the body has less than 98000 with no rust and rated 9 out of 10 . . . although the car originally had AC the previous owner disconnected it but I have the parts to put it back . . . it has 2.5 exhaust with manual cut outs and Summit turbo mufflers . . . it has an Autometer Autogauge tach with shift light and Autometer Trio gauges . . . this engine is extremely powerful but with less than 300 miles it has never been raced . . . it was built for the street . . . although just completed I must sell this car for personal reasons . . . it is registered, insured and inspected . . . this is a great car that is ready to go and doesn't need anything that I know of . . . it has much more to it than I have listed but the above should give you an idea of the quality of this car . . . GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.

Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
