1972 Chevrolet Chevelle on 2040-cars
Pittston, Pennsylvania, United States
It’s sad to say that it's time to let my baby go, I have cared for this car for almost the last 10 years. This is a prime example of an excellent condition driver’s car. The interior is all new, the only thing not replaced was the carpet. Custom paint is very good and Chrome work is excellent. Car was converted to a floor shifted Munci 4-speed from an automatic. It has a strong 383 stroker, engine was installed around the 100k mile mark, trunk mounted fuel cell, cowl induction hood, Chrome Deep Dish Crager wheels with Mickey Thompson Indy Profile SS Tires, Power steering and power brakes, disks up front drums in the rear, Air shocks in the rear, new Flowmaster 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust. Registered and Inspected until 2015, no accidents or rust. Heater and radio were removed prior to my ownership. Title in hand, ready to drive away. I reserve the right to remove at any time $1,000 non-refundable deposit due from winning bidder with in 48 hours of auction close. Please note this vehicle is as is where is with no guarantees or warranties of any kind. E-mail any Questions

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
