I purchased this vehicle new in March 2006 and am the original owner. I am a mechanic and have carefully maintained this vehicle. All replacement parts ever used are fully stock and are all equal or better than factory quality.
This is a GT Premium, Tungsten exterior in excellent condition with high gloss paint. There are a few small, minor touchups but no body damage or accidents of any kind. It has a 5 speed manual transmission with special red leather interior w/aluminum dash upgrade package, Shaker 500 Audio, AM/FM/CD/MP3 with iPod connection that also charges iPod, spoiler, 18" wheels, new front suspension, recent brake job, factory stock, clean inside & out. The original 18" wheels that the car came with were replaced with chrome bullet style wheels a week after I bought the car. I had to replace the right (passenger) rear bullet wheel with one of these original wheels last winter (visible in one of the pictures). It is still in excellent condition but does not match the other 3. Therefore the 3 remaining (new) wheels are also included in the sale. Local pickup only. Ask any clarifying questions and I will respond immediately. |

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
