I am selling my beloved 1996 DGGM Impala. I have had it for awhile and have done a ton of performance upgrades to it to get it built for a 383 and make it a semi street/track car. Car was running and spun a bearing on the dyno and has been sitting in my garage since 2010 with the top end taken off and under a car cover. All the mods were done and then car taken to the dyno. These parts dont even have 100 miles on them. Mods are as follows.

K&N cold air
Custom X pipe
Ultra-flo SS mufflers and resonators
3.73 gears
3000 stall 9.5" converter
Bilstein shocks
Hotchkis springs lower 1"
Extended rear control arms (boxed style that centers rear wheels)
Upgraded front and rear sway bars
Rebuilt tranny with transgo stage two shift kit
PCM4less programmed computer
20" staggered wheels with nitto invo tires (tires alone $1250 and have less than 100 miles on them).
Brake bolt upgrade kit
stainless brake lines
Deep tranny pan new in box (the one with the cooling holes in it)
Extra external mounted oil/tranny cooler.
Smoked headlights
Smoked tail lights

Interior is damn near flawless except for some random stuff that was damaged vandalized a few years back. That stuff includes two cut seat belts, two broken radio knobs, head light knob missing, center console lid missing, broken rear view mirror, door pull handles missing, she cut the underhood wires, and the headlight harness, and a few small other items that I cant remember. Seats, carpet, and other surfaces are immaculate, almost look brand new. I have most of the stuff that was damaged to include a headlight harness and another engine harness. I was gonna just go ahead and install a complete motor in it and just fix the stuff that's wrong but I am looking to start a business and need the cash to do so.

Like I said, this is a project that needs to be completed. I have over 7000 worth of work done to this car just in the parts mentioned above and they all have less than 100 miles on them (some of the stuff is still new). I would love to see it go to a good place and be completed or maybe transplanted to another vehicle. I also may be able to help with delivery a certain distance at a small fee. More pics available upon request. Thanks.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
