1967 Chevrolet Impala, 2 door fastback. I purchased this car 4 years ago from an older man and don't have a lot of history on it.

Here's what I do know: The car has a 327 with a Holley 4bbl carb. and a powerglide transmission. Since I purchased the car, I had the
carb. re-built, the factory A/C converted to R134A, 4 new tires, new shocks, front springs, front end suspension parts. The brakes are like
new. I also had an electric choke installed. The car starts with 2 pumps and a turn of the key. The mileage seems to be original as the car was
mostly parked for the past 20 years, but I can't say for sure. The paint is an OK job, but not the best. As car guys say... this is a good solid
20 footer.. meaning it looks great from 20 feet. It's not perfect, but she runs good and the interior was re-done before I bought it. There are a couple
of rust bubbles fore and aft of the rear wheels as well as a little spot by the drivers side rear window. The A/C was converted, but it mostly blows
in the lower ducts. It may need a diverter door mechanism or some duct work. The aluminum nose trim has some minor dings. The rear bumper
has a small outward bend, but can probably be straightened fairly easily.
I'm selling the car because I was going to show it and cruise in it, but I have no time and I need the garage space. There is no warranty on the car
an I'm selling it as-is. I'm also advertising it locally, so first come/first served. Car must be paid in full and check must clear before it leaves my garage.
Buyer is responsible to have car checked before buying or bidding. Please don't bid if you can't or won't follow through with the purchase.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
