It's a stunning car that has had a complete ground up, no expense spared restoration that looks amazing. It is completely numbers matching car from the engine to the rear end. This beauty has been pampered as you can see by the photos. This car is as nice as they come. Absolutely everything lines up perfect and really is stunning. The 427ci Impala is one of the rarest Muscle cars ever built. The complete frame off restoration of this car was completed in 2007 and absolutely looks like it was finished a week ago. It was purchased by a collector in 2007 where it was put away in his collection of over 80 collector cars, never to be driven or seen daylight until we purchased the car a month ago. It was hand rubbed to a smooth as glass finish. The body is laser straight and everything lines up beautifully. It is one of the nicest, if not the best body I have ever scene on a Impala. This car stops traffic with its beautiful paint and stunning chrome! It is sitting on a new set of redline tire with rare simulated mag hupcaps. It looks so good going down the road that people can't help but stop and stare! ?Sitting in this Impala, you'll feel like you've just entered a time warp. The blue interior is all brand new and looks amazing. The dash and gauge cluster are like new with every piece inside of the car is redone! Mechanically, this Impala runs and drives like new. Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
