For your consideration is a 1960 Chevrolet Impala 2 door hardtop...from all appearances it is completely stock and free from any previous body, frame or suspension cuts or modifications...it does not provide any evidence that it has ever been hit anywhere on the body

Starting at the front: the front bumper is very straight with nice original chrome, guardettes, grill is very nice for an original ...nice hood, extremely nice front fenders

Under the hood is a new radiator, a rebuilt 454 Chevy motor that the previous owner said has been started but the car has never been driven since it was installed....previous owner says the transmission is either a 350 or 400 and has also been rebuilt but never run.....this car came from the factory with both power steering and power brakes

There is a new, complete wiring harness that was just installed.

The body is extremely straight and rust-free with the exception of the pictured areas directly above the rear wheel-well openings....there is rust at these locations, but not all the way through the metal at these points....there are also some small areas of "bubbles" on the lower door skins and outer rocker skins.....very minor

All of the floor areas were blasted and painted....very nice, solid, original condition, no rust, no damage anywhere inside or in the trunk...drip rails are excellent, as are all lower window corner areas, bottom of fenders, bottom of doors, lower quarters

The interior is a brand new reproduction of the original blue with silver pattern as seen in the picture...the seat bottom was done to show the color and pattern....included in the price is the complete, brand new set including the front and rear seats, door panels, inside quarter panels, headliner, carpet...I believe the entire set cost between $1500 and $2000 depending on shipping cost- the front and rear seat frames have already been dipped and primered- they are in excellent condition and are ready to recover.

Included will be over 95% of the interior and exterior moldings, trim pieces, garnish moldings, emblems and gauges...if there is anything missing, I don't know what it is...which may mean we have every single piece...just trying to be as honest in the description as possible

Also included will be the correct steel wheels

I have clear title in my name, current California registration, brand new California VIN tag just issued by the CHP and brand new plates

The buyer will need to purchase a new windshield and side glass set-the chrome window frames included are in nice condition for originals .....the large rear window glass is included

I will be happy to provide additional, specific pictures for a serious buyer who wants to view any area of concern not adequately covered by the pictures already provided

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom.
