I am selling to the highest bidder my Chevy HHR. It is in excellent condition drives and handles like a new car, the interior is leather no tears or marks with everything in full working order it pretty much has every extra that was offered on this car including Remote Start.  With the color combination of Sport Red metallic and tan leather the 17" chrome wheels it is a really nice looking car.

Some of the extras over and above the base model:- Sport suspension~17" Chrome Wheels~Remote Start~Power Sunroof~Heated Seats~On Star~Running Boards~Rear Spoiler~Homelink~Tow Hitch~Premium Cargo & Floor Mats~Leather Steering Wheel with all controls for Cruise/Vol etc~2.4 High Output Engine~Fog Lamps~AM/FM with CD & MP3 Jack

This is a very versatile car that can be turned into a van when needed the pics. show how the seats can fold down easily to give a nice flat floor space, with other pieces of flooring that can be configured for a shelf. On top of this I have always achieved great fuel mileage usually in the 25/30 range, and for this purpose actually got a pic. of the gauge showing my **29mpg at 60 mph on a 75 mile recent trip.

The Chevy has always been maintained as per the book so everything is up to date, I have a new set of tires that have only done about a 1000 miles, this car has been **totally reliable and can safely say it has NEVER let me down.

I pride myself on being able to describe things accurately and you will note this in my previous eBay transactions, but in this day and age you have to spell out most things:- You will of course find maybe an odd scratch or ding associated with the age (but you will need to look closely) I am not offering a warranty or gurantee of any kind equally my statements on **reliability and fuel consumption are based on my first hand experience as a now retired professional driver who had to pay for his own gas so my style of driving reflected this, the car has always been garaged and used for mainly highway driving, the only reason for the sale is with my retirement came a downsize so no room no need.  Most importantly the bid you place is to purchase it is not for an appt. to view and redeal so I will not be accepting bids from parties who do not have a proven track of purchasing on eBay. All that being said this is a great car and I`m confident you will be pleased, the car is located at my home in FL. 34610 corner of SR52 and Shady Hills Rd, for out of State buyers, I will be happy to pick you up at Tampa airport (30 mins) or Orlando (75 mins) and let you drive me back home and then you can be on your way.

I will need a $500 deposit paid into PayPal within 24 hours of auction end and the balance within 7 days of auction end Cash is fine, however if paying with a Cashiers Check I will have to have it confirmed through MY bank before car is released.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
