  • 2006 Chevy HHR LT2 in great condition. Still shines as it did when it was new. I have waxed this vehicle several times per year. It has never been in any kind of accident, or scrape. I park it away from other vehicles when going shopping. I have changed the oil at recomended intervals, and as you can see by the pictures it's in great shape. This HHR is one of the best looking I have seen on the road and the only reason I am selling it is because I had to get a vehicle with a V6 to pull my bike trailer. It does have a few light scratches but nothing major.
  • Standard and optional features include:
  • 2.4L aluminum engine w/ 170+HP and Auto Trans
  • Sport-tuned suspension
  • Air conditioning with fresh air filter
  • Beautiful cashmere colored all leather seats
  • Pioneer 7 speaker amplified sound system with tweeters and sub woofer
  • Redundent radio controls with CD player
  • Aux jack plug for iPod
  • Auto dimming rear view mirror with compass
  • Remote starter system for heating and cooling when needed - I use this feature a lot
  • Heated front drivers and pass seats
  • Fog lights - leather wrapped steering wheel - 17" bright polished aluminum wheels - Bright chrome appearance package - Chrome large OEM exhaust tip - folding rear and pass seats - tilt wheel - cruise control on steering wheel - audio controls on wheel too - keyless entry - rear defroster and wiper - power side mirrors

I have added or recently installed:

  • New tires installed 2 months ago - only 1,000 miles on them
  • New front brakes and rotors
  • New front chrome OEM chevy grille as the original had some dots from regular road driving and I wanted it to look as new
  • Newer battery - K&N air filter - HHR logo rubber all weather mats - HHR logo carpet and rear area mats - Rear spoiler on hatch to add to it's looks - Rain vents on all 4 windows - Buick engine look vents on hood - OEM HHR running boards - Class I -II trailer hitch and wire kit- Wood grain look interior - stainless vent and speaker accents

This vehicle is ready to drive and go anywhere, it gets 24 MPG in the city, and 30MPG on the highway. With it's 16 gallon + fuel tank it has a range of 500 miles. It has been taken care of and I believe it's one of the best deals on the road given it's versatility, fuel economy, fun to drive aspect, and size.

If you win the auction and you are coming from out of town, I am 20 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport and can pick you up there so you can drive it home. I bought this in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 2008 and did the same thing. Thanks.

I'm still driving it so the miles might go up a bit but nothing over another few hundred miles.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.

Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.
