Selling this for a friend,

A 1979 Chevrolet El Camino with amazing paint job, looks like it was a show car at one time.

Paint is all intact save for a small patch on the front drivers fender (see photo).

The interior is all custom made as is the bed liner, lots of chrome all over the car, both top and bottom.

Motor is a 305 small block with a turbo 350 transmission, nice tight ride.

Front wheels upper control arms are extended for hydraulics, but a stock pair will be included with the car. There are no hydraulics with the car.

Note for California buyers: this car is not Calif. smog legal, but most of the smog parts will also come with the car.

The tires shown on car with not be car will NOT be  included, instead will another set will be put on the car (see photos).

Also behind the seats is a sound system of unknown origin.

It would take much to get this car back on the road and in show condition. And yes it runs.....very well.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.
