This is a 1984 El Camino. The engine has 132000 miles on it and runs daily. The belts were recently changed and the fluids will need to be changed. The air and oil filters were replaced recently. THis El Camino is dual exhaust but I have only begun to change out mufflers, so one is missing and the other needs to be replaced as well. There are a small oil leak from the pan. Many parts of the original 30 year old car are coming of age to replace.

The AC components and faceplate are all installed but not working. All the standard and headlights work including rear lights. Hardware for upgrading sound system is included. The dash has some sun damage to it, but has only damaged less than 2% of the dash since I had the cover. This does come with a hard top option, after recent storms the fiberglass cover was damaged, so I had to remove it. It still works, it just needs to be repaired. The bed of the truck has NO rust and is lined with a heavy duty rubber liner. The power windows and locks work on both doors but the glass has a few scratches and little loose but holds position. There are imperfections in the paint and body, but majority of the caminos body is straight. This was a daily driver for many years and picked up some dings and scratch all the way.

I have had this el camino for the past 10 years and has always been a reliable ride for me.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
