1984 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 5.7l 350cu. on 2040-cars
Jefferson, Iowa, United States
1984 CHEVROLET CONQUISTA,((((NOT FROM IOWA)))) I MOVED TO IOWA FROM MISSISSIPPI IN 2009, THE CAR CAME WITH ME AND HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN ON SALTY ROADS AND HAS NO RUST, THE BODY IS SOLID AND TIGHT AND ALL CHROME IS THERE AND GOOD. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY, BRAKE BOOSTER, BLOWER MOTOR AND RIGHT SIDE WINDOW MOTOR. A ROLLER ON THE LEFT SIDE WINDOW TRACK NEEDS REPLACING, WINDOW DOES GO UP AND DOWN JUST FIND AS LONG AS YOU PRESS AGAINST THE GLASS WHEN USING SWITCH, DOOR LOCKS WERE WORKING UNTIL RECENTLY, LEFT SWITCH NEEDS REPLACING, ROLLER AND SWITCH COULD BE REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME WHILE THE DOOR PANEL IS OFF, PARTS WOULD BE LESS THAN $20.00 ON EBAY. WHEN IT WAS DRIVEN TO IOWA I CUT THE A/C BELT FOR BETTER MILEAGE, I WAS GOING TO REPLACE IT ,BUT NEVER DID SINCE IT'S SO COOL HERE COMPARED TO MISSISSIPPI. THE 305 ENGINE WAS TAKEN OUT AND REPLACED WITH A 350cu. ENGINE, WHICH WAS REBUILT BEFORE INSTALLING , THE STOCK DISTRIBUTOR WAS REPLACED WITH A MALLORY, THE CARBURETOR WAS REBUILT AND THE SINGLE EXHAUST WAS REPLACED FOR DUAL EXHAUST. THE CAR STARTS AND RUNS GREAT, ALSO I HAVE NEW COOPER 60'S ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE CAR HANDLES GREAT NO SHIMMY OR SHAKE, EVEN WITH NO HANDS THE CAR TRAVELS STRAIGHT, I ALSO HAVE A RUBBER BED MAT THAT GOES WITH THE CAR. THE CAR COULD USE A PAINT JOB, BUT NOT NECESSARY, THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE FOR AN ANTIQUE, BUT THE DASH DOES HAVE A COUPLE OF CRACKS . EBAY GIVES ME 4 FREE PICTURES, BUT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED I HAVE PLENTY PICTURES AND I CAN EMAIL THEM TO YOU ALL"SERIOUS" OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED. PLEASE READ MY ADD AND THE QUESTIONS BELOW BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS, I DON'T MIND ANSWERRING QUESTIONS, BUT SO MANY ARE THE SAME.....THANX I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH EBAYS EMAIL SYSTEM BUT PEOPLE ARE EMAILING ME 2 AND 3 TIMES, IT IS TAKING UP TO 24HRS BEFORE I RECIEVE THEM. THANX

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in
Sat, 15 Jun 2013You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
