Bob McDorman Chevrolet Dealership owner and well known for selling Chevrolets performance line, muscle, corvettes etc. Five years ago Mecum Auctions auctioned off  his collection of specialty cars that he had collected over the years and this Camino was in the collection of autos sold. This car was a little different because it lived in Florida its whole life at his winter home. The car was shipped sometime back to his dealership in Ohio to under go a complete cosmetic restoration and rebuild...weird but I guess if you own the dealership you can provide this type of work. This car is absolutely beautiful and is the nicest Camino I have ever seen. It has I beleive every option available for that model and year..it is truely breathtaking.  The interior is looks like it was just off the showroom.. The Camino was purchased by a gentleman at the private Auction in Ohio and shipped to Texas and then I purchased here in Florida through a friend. I do not have the original wheels , these are brand new AR chromes with new tires.
I always wanted one of these and a nice one,but found this one...it really needs to belong to a collector or showroom somewhere. I don't believe anything has ever been in the back bed it is perfect, rear cover looks new like the rest of the truck. Runs and drives flawlessly and feels and smells new.
I stand by the nicest in the world and you will be proud of your new purchase. I require a $100.00 down at auction end and will help load the vehicle for your transportation. car is open for inspection with a phone call.I have a 100% feedback and tell it like it is ,I own several collector cars and I know cars but hold off on saying I'm an expert but I can say I am honest and have represented this vehicle properly. Good Luck and if you are serious you can call ...Mark... three two 0ne 663 8790.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
