I am selling this 1972 Chevy Elcamino SS clone. This car is very nice and runs and drives great. It was restored about 8000 miles ago and is very solid. I have driven this car most of the spring and summer and have had a lot of fun with it plus it get a lot of attention wherever I am at with it.

Drive train350 engine with a mild cam, 4 barrel carb, and headers. Other then that the engine is mostly stock. The transmission is a 400 turbo with no modifications done to it that I know of and it has a 12 bolt rear-end under it (I am not sure what gears it has). It has power front disc brakes and drums in the rear, power steering, up graded aluminum radiator, and is a factory air car. Currently the air is not installed but I do have all the parts that go with the car (I may end up installing at some point).

Exterior: Newer red paint, black stripes, black pin stripe, newer windshield molding, chrome bumpers and trim (all seem to be in pretty good shape, very minor pitting on bumpers). newer vinyl top, black diamond tread bed installed.

Interior:  Black interior, CD player, newer door panels and headliner, no cracks in the dash and everything works, bench seat with no tears, newer carpet, and all the window hardware is in good condition.

I have to say again that this car is a lot of fun to drive and would take you just about anywhere you want to go. I have driven this car on a 200 mile round trip with absolutely no issues. Please understand that this is a 40+ year old car and isn't perfect but is a very nice car. If you choose to purchase this vehicle it come "as is with no warranties" and you are subject to all state and local fees, plus you will also have to provide your own transportation. I have tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my abilities. This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any point. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. Thanks and happy bidding.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
