It's the stuff that dreams are made of......Restored in 2007, this California car still looks great with it's FIVE coats of light blue metallic paint with SIX coats of clear.
The interior is all new, as are the bumpers, hood, inner & outer fenders, and front & rear glass. All the rest of the glass is very nice and this ride has about 90% new chrome. To make the ride part of the overall dream, you will float along with the new front end parts, shocks, boxed in trailing arms, new poly bushings, air bags in rear coil springs, new balanced drive shaft with racing u-joints, a positraction rear end with 373 Richmond gears, & new axle bearings.
To help wake you up from that dream is the professionally built & blue printed 454 bored 0.40 over, large ported cast heads, aluminum Keith Black pistons, solid lifters, Holley 750 double pumper, high volume oil pump, competition cam, aluminum roller rockers, True roller chain, high volume Holley fuel pump, all bringing you abruptly out of your dream with an estimated 525 horsepower. The tranny is a TCI turbo 400 with a 2,500 stall convertor & shift kit. It all cools with an aluminum radiator and electric fans.
The heater and air conditioner are not connected, but all parts are there in case you want to hook them up. So look this one over carefully, check out the videos, and compare. I doubt that you will find a nicer one anywhere for what we have reserve set at.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end with balance in full received within 7 days of end of auction. Cash or bank wire transfer gets immediate release of car and clear title.
If you have negative or less than 3 positive feedbacks you must e-mail your name & phone number BEFORE you bid or your bid may be cancelled.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web
Mon, 15 Apr 2013The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
