Sbc 350(3970010 block) with a Th350 transmission.

OK lets get the cons out the way first. The car has rust at rear window and at rear floor pan. I patch up the rear floor pan with sheet metal and tap screw just for a temp. fix ( see picture). The engine and transmission both runs fine and good but transmission is leaking from the gasket. I have a new transmission gasket and filter kit to go with the car. Transmission shift fine though all 3 gears. Engine is a runner. I don't know if its a 2 or 4 bolt main. If you check the block casting number its a 50/50 chance its a 4 bolt. I believe it has a valve seal leak because when car warms up....when stepping on gas pedal blue smoke come out not a constant flow only when you quick step the gas pedal. I don't think its a head gasket because car still run strong and fast. I don't know how many miles are on the engine and tranny. body miles just reached 100,xxx mark.

So beside the cons lets talk about the body. Body has been worked on and painted but I got what I paid for..which was $1900. Need more clear coats, wet sanding and polish to have a decent paint look. It has a dent on the passenger fender and a Good scratch on the passenger side (see picture) from when I side swipe my garage.Still kicking myself. I just recently replace all shocks and springs, upper control arms bushing and all around break shoes (4 wheel drums). As for the motor, I replace water pump, alternator, and the belt in 2012. I say the car is due for a basic tune like spark plugs and spark plugs wires, distributor cap and rotor. I recently changed the oil this month (July 2013). It has fresh 15 inch chrome rallies with a lot of treads left. Its a ten bolt differential non posi. Car is pretty much complete drive it as is and work on it slowly and just put in some money to have a perfect car.  I'm sure I might have left something out but I am a honest person and tried to tell you all the cons on the car. So if you buy it and see something I didn't mention please don't be upset.  And I'm sure its a small thing because if it was major I would remember something big and list it on this ad. Buyer I would get the transmission leak fixed and give it a tune up.

I have the pink slip to the car under my name and has clean title. Tags are up to date and expire in 2014 of June

***Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping of the car as well as shipping charges. I will help with shipping. And by helping I mean I will do what I can on my part so shipping can be fast and easy.***

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
