It is powered by a fully built 454ci engine with Edelbrock aluminum RPM heads and intake mated to a turbo 400 automatic transmission and is extremely fast!!! This is a totally rust-free real SS396 that spent its whole life in California, one of the best places for a El Camino to come from. There were tens of thousands invested in building this awesome El Camino. The suspension is full pro-touring with upper tubular A-arms, power steering, front wheel disc brakes and the list goes on and on! It has a drop dead gorgeous Jet Black paint job with that looks absolutely amazing that was finished in base coat, clear coat. It was hand rubbed to a smooth as glass finish. Absolutely everything on this car is brand new or restored as you can see from the pictures. The bed is very straight and looks like nothing has ever been in it. The is a rubber mat that goes in the bed that protects the bed. It is sitting on a set of 20" custom built 3-piece chrome wheels with brand new tires. This El Camino literally stops traffic with the amount of attention it receives! The saddle interior is all new and looks amazing. The dash and gauge cluster has all been restored to look like new. Everything works great in the car including all the gauges and lights. It has an amazing sounding, CD audio sound system. Mechanically, this '68 El Camino is in perfect condition and is basically all brand new. It runs like an awesome with its fully built 454ci engine bored .060 over. The motor is equipped with aluminum intake & heads, headers and custom exhaust system. Under the hood is detailed to show quality and looks amazing. 2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
