GM based it's second generation El Camino on the Chevelle platform.
FEATURES INCLUDE
350 ci Chevy
Turbo 350 Trans
Duel Exhausts
10 Bolt Rear
Drum Barkes
Power Steering
The 65 was treated to a mist blue metalic paint job about 1 year ago. The bed was not painted at the time however.
We want to thank our friends at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, located just outside of Dallas Love Field, for their great location for some of our photos. We highly suggest visiting this great museum when you are in Dallas.
The body on the El Camino is very straight and in excellent condition.
The mileage is said to be original, but we have no documents proving that.
The interior appears to be original and is showing it's age. The dash is still in good condition, but there are some cracks in the upholstery.
One of the previous owners decided to drop this 350ci V-8 and a Turbo 350 auto transmission into the truck to make it a lot more stout than it was in it's original state. The El Camino was a 300 Deluxe 6 cylinder from the factory.
Goodyear Viva 2 P215/ 65R 15 tires now surround the factory wheels.
This would be a great first time classic vehicle for someone who wants to get into the hobby at a good price. It would take just a few minor improvements to have a real little show winner here.
The undercarriage is very solid. Since we don't have a lot of history on the truck, we aren't sure if anything has been replaced. The exhaust system appears to be fairly new as does the gas tank.
Please check out our slide show for more pictures.

After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with. The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. If you have some time this afternoon, be sure to check it out the Corvette colorizer for yourself, and even if you don't have the time, we've put together a gallery with all of the possible color combinations.

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI. Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0. It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter. To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media. Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
