Up for sale today is a nice original california 1964 Chevy El Camino in a corona cream color. Car has the original 327 engine that runs excellent with a powerglide tranny. Engine runs great fires up right away, no shaking, no noises, no smoke runs perfect and idles nicely. A set of 4 brand new tires. Paint is in great shape has a couple small chips and scratches here and there from being driven. This el camino has also been here in Southern california its entire life so undercarriage is clean and rust free still has the original BLACk california plates on it. it has all new door weatherstripping around the doors, and also the window felts are also all new, All lights and guages work on the car. It has power steering and power brakes. The interior is in excellent shape, the door panels, dash, and headliner are all original only the seat has been redone. Car is being sold As-Is with no warranty and is the buyers responsibilty to check car prior to bidding. Car is Located in Los Angeles and has a clean title in hand. I have sold a couple cars to overseas buyers and out of state buyers in the past and can offer to deliver the car to any of the shipping companys here in southern california or can give you the numbers to a few shipping companys ive used many times with no issues. The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
