1959 CHEVROLET EL CAMINO RARE CAR FOR PARTS, RATROD OR RESTORE WOULD MAKE A GREAT DONOR FOR YOUR PROJECT OR RESTORE IT TO YOUR TASTE. THE LOWER QUARTERS AND FLOORS ARE RUSTED OUT. THE FRONT FENDERS HAVE RUSTOUT AT THE BOTTOM. BOX FLOOR HAS SOME RUST THROUGH IN A COUPLE AREAS SOME HOLES IN TAILGATE AND HOOD. THE DOORS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS SOME RUST IN THE FRAME AS WELL. IT HAS THE PADDED DASH, BUT IT IS WEATHERED AND WILL NEED REPLACEMENT. THE SEATS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, WITH ONLY A COUPLE SMALL RIPS. MOST OF THE MOULDINGS ARE VERY GOOD AND APPEAR TO BE COMPLETE. BOX SURROUND TRIM HAS DENTS AND DINGS, BUT SHOULD BE RESTORABLE. ALSO COMPLETE. BUMPERS COULD BE CLEANED UP FOR A DRIVER, OR GREAT CORES FOR PLATING. THE GLASS IN THE DOORS HAVE CRACKS, BUT ARE NOT BROKEN OUT. (JUST OFF THE REGULATOR TRACKS) REAR GLASS IS NICE, WINDSHIELD HAS SOME CRACKS I WAS NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE TAIL GATE. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY A V8 CAR, NOW HAS A MOTOR THAT APPEARS TO BE A 68 CHEVY V8, I HAVE NOT TRIED TURNING IT. NOT RUNNING. GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.
