2013 KARLS KUSTOM CORVETTE
ONLY 549 MILES
“Usually, attempts to update an older chassis with newer body lines or back-date modern mechanicals to a classic
shape end in cars that are beautiful only to the people that built them. Though they might have the same styling
cues and bear a resemblance from a distance, it’s very hard to get the wheelbase, roof height, angles, and
proportions to line up the way they’re supposed to. But the Karl Kustom Corvette is different. The designers of
this C2-inspired car managed to get the proportions right, giving the Corvette fan mid-year style with all the
amenities and safety of a modern Corvette. Or, in their words, they made the best even better.”
This is a great opportunity to get a fantastic deal when you compere the prices at Karls Kustom. You will not find
one with only 549 miles for the price. Just as rare is that the Vette started as new untouched 2013 Gard Sport
from the dealership to Karls Kustom Shop. Where is took almost a whole year to buid.
It’s a one of a kind look with satin wheels and bumpers. If an aggressive looking split window is what you
wanted. It doesn't get any better than this supercharged with a Edelbrock E-Force delivering (599 hp) plenty of
power about in the comfort of a C6 quite enough to enjoy a long curse across the country, up and down the cost
sightseeing. Which ever is your enjoyment cruising in the spectacular car with a upgraded audio system ( Alpine
Head unit with navigation, satellite radio, backup camera, JL Audio component door speakers, JL 10” woofer in
custom that fits in rear storage box, alpine amp and crossover).
To say this C6 Retro Split Window is a head turner would be putting it mildly. Speaking from my experience as the
caretaker of this mechanical art on wheels. I had people give me thumbs up, posing for pictures with the car. You
cannot be at a red light without being asked to roll the window down and talk about the car. When parked among
Italian exotics or any other European exotics this is the car that people choose to Aww and high five about. If you
are looking for a mouth dropping exotic car. This car will accomplish all your expectations.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
