2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z-06 Cyber Gray-3-lz Package-navigation-prem. Wheels on 2040-cars
Scottsville, Kentucky, United States
Car is in very good condition. No dents and only a few very small rock chips on the front that have been touched up at a GM dealer and so small they do not show in the pictures. Interior is in great condition with no tears or rips. The car is in excellent mechanical condition. Everything works as it should. No mechanical problems. Never smoked in. Garage kept. Never in a wreck and no body work. I have a clean KY title in hand with no liens. The car has the top-of-the-line 3-LZ option package that includes 7 speaker Bose Speaker System, PWR Telescoping Steering Wheel, Heated Seats, Memory package, Universal Home Remote, Side Impact Airbags, Driver and Passenger luggage shade and parcel net, Factory Navigation, Z06 Spider Design Chrome Alum Wheels, Corvette Museum Delivery. I have owned the car for two years and loved every minute of it! No surprises and no hidden issues. The car is stock and has more power than most will ever need in stock condition. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sold locally. On Aug-25-14 at 09:03:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry I had to cancel the first auction due to my error of not stating the car was also for sale locally and not putting a "reserve price" on the first listing. |

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
