Up for sale is a beautiful, 2004 Corvette Z06. This low mileage car (63k) has lived exclusively in Las Vegas, Nevada and St. George, Utah. I purchased this car in July, 2008 with 44k miles and it has been garage kept and driven a few times a month. The LS6 engine runs great and is completely unmolested and stock, absolutely no aftermarket modifications. A new clutch, flywheel, torque tube, and slave cylinder were installed two weeks ago by Stephen Wade Chevrolet. There was an issue with the catalytic converter about a year after I purchased the car and an aftermarket unit was installed. Other than that, the exhaust is also stock. Exterior condition overall is in excellent shape with minor stone chipping on lower driver and passenger side rocker panels (see photos). A replacement wheel is installed on the driver side front, as original stock developed a hairline crack. There is a slight paint blemish on the new wheel from shipping (see photos). New Bridgestone Potenza tires were installed at 62k miles on 7/31/2013. Interior is in excellent shape with only light wear and a small tear (1") on the drivers side seat that was sewn back up. Features: LS6 engine 405 HP 400 lb-ft torque, 6-speed manual transmission, CD player with factory BOSE speaker system, Heads up display, 6-way driver seat with memory controls, power mirrors with auto-dim, dual climate control system, selective handling modes with traction control and competitive driving, custom window shade is included in sale. I am selling this car, in part, to help offset the costs for the clutch, flywheel, torque tube, and slave cylinder repairs that were recently completed ($3500). I am also selling this car to help restore my Corvette Stingray and MGB. Clean Carfax is supplied with the car and a copy can be sent upon request. Clean Utah Title in hand. Really fun car and hope the new owner will enjoy it as much as I have.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
