I am presenting for auction this immaculate 2001 Corvette Coupe. This Corvette is Speedway White with rare Torch red Leather Interior. I bought this car from a fellow Columbus Corvette Club member in 2005. I always admired this car at different Corvette Club functions. When my friend decided to buy a new C6 Corvette I was able to make the purchase of this one from him. I am the second owner. This car has always been garage kept, never smoked in and meticulously detailed after every trip. In addition to the standard equipment this car has $4.750.00 of factory options added by General Motors. Here are a few of them: Dual Zone Air Conditioning, Fog Lamps, Luggage Shade and Parcel net, Memory Package, Adjustavle Sport Bucket Seat, Twilight Sentinel, Electrochromatic Mirriors: ISRV & LH OSRV, Head Up Display, Steering: Power Telescoping & Manual Tilt Steering Column, Polished Aluminum Wheels, Performance Handling Package(active handling), 3.15 Performance Axle Ratio, AM/FM Stereo w/CD Player, Body Side Mouldings and Color Keyed Front Floor Mats with carpeted inserts. Engine is 350HP LS1. Included is the Clear Acrylic top and the White painted top. This car was sold new at Bill Heard Chevrolet Company in Columbus, GA. I have the original window sticker and a laminated duplicate. I am presenting this car with less than 35,000 miles. In the zip code of 31901, with the low mileage, Kelly Blue Book show a private party Value of $24,381 in Excellent Condition. All maintenance has been performed by myself, including oil changes using AC Delco oil filters and Mobil One 5W30 Synthetic engine oil. This is a perfect car looking for an owner who will appreciate its condition.
I am located 90 miles South of the Atlanta Airport in Columbus, Georgia. There is a shuttle leaving the airport to Columbus every 30 minutes. I am NOT interested in trades. I am willing to coordinate with your shipper if you need to get the car shipped. As for payment, I would prefer your bank to wire transfer the funds to my bank. Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
