I have for sale Torch Red 2001 Corvette AT with approx 84k miles. It is in great condition and comes with almost every option offered for this model including but not limited to Performance gear 3:15 rear diff and Heads-up display. I did do some upgrades to the car. This includes installing bigger sway bars (see pictures shows stock vs what I installed corners like its on rails with minimal body lean), front and rear, Z51 option front and rear springs, Blackwing cold air intake, Magnaflow cat back exhaust and Edge 3200 rpm stall converter to get the vette off the line faster (torque converter acts almost stock until you put your foot in it). Chrome C6 replica chrome wheels with 245 and 285 tires. Tires have plenty of meat left on them. Brakes are slotted and drilled. The interior is clean as the exterior. The car does not leak any fluids and needs nothing. Clean California title in hand. I added custom vinyl stripe to the car as you can see in the picture but it can be removed in less than an hour w/ no residue left behind if you don't like it, so I've also posted picture of the car before I added the stripe. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me by phone, email or text. This vehicle is locally advertised so I may remove this listing at anytime. I can get text any time of the day but please call After 3PM Mon-Fri PST and almost anytime on weekends. Thanks for reading my ad. Have a great day. 951-7O4-94OO. I welcome you to come take a look at the car in person if you live near Murrieta, CA (an hour from San Diego or Los Angels. I would like to mention that Electronic (F45 option) suspension was programmed out by GM dealer so I can upgrade the suspension to handle like a slot car. I have all four sensors and shocks which was removed at 78k miles which I will include at buyers request. All you would have to do is buy the suspension module and install the sensors, shocks and module and the ECM will automatically install the option back into the car. As it sits, traction control and stability control works as it should. I don't know why autocheck can not find my VIN. Prior to me purchasing the car, I ran carfax and there was no accident reported. Car still wears the original paint. You might want to run carfax so you can be sure you're buying a clean titled accident free car. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Feb-28-14 at 13:44:25 PST, seller added the following information: I just wanted to add that Aluminum Tunnel Plate, Aux Transmission Cooler and TransGo stage 2 shift kit was installed when I installed the new 3200 stall lock-up converter. It will chirp 2nd gear under full acceleration but not harsh at all. Just a nice firm fast shift. This wall all done within the last 5k miles.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.

Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
