So here is my Corvette. I bought this from my neighbor, it is my 5th corvette. Why am I selling?? I have just outgrown the desire for a fast 2 seat car and want to go to a 4 seater.

The car is extremely nice with many quality extras. Besides a great color combination it has heads up, 6 speed, sport seats, cold air induction, skip shift, painted engine cover, short shift kit, great stereo and corsa exhause.

** I have almost all the receipts along with warrenty info on the parts.

I went to trade the car in today on a 500 clk and they offered me $16K. They showed me that I needed new tires.. So I am putting michilin run flats. ($1400.00) on monday after work.

Now in the interest of no surprises. the car was in an accident in 2012. I have the receipts from the repair work done. it was the front fender and bumper and then they replaced the wheel well. No suspension, shocks, engine or any structual damage. the repair was something line 3500 and most of it was paint. No surprises.. looks perfect. no bondo. just replaced the fender and bumper and painted.

I also scuffed the car in a small spot going to Jones Beach. picture enclosed.

seats, interiror, exterior (lther then the scuff spot) bumpers, hood, panels, windows, signals, abs, breaks, oil change, tires., rims no road rash. all perfect.

There are no warning lights and no mechanical issues. top does not leak and goes up and down as it should. the car was kept garaged by all 3 owners and kept locally.

Also have a car cover. I have tons of pictures of beutiful engine compartment and cold air induction, interior etc. My phone is not uploading them now, but please ask.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders

Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.
