For sale a rare, and in excellent condition 1996 Corvette Grand Sport.

I bought the car ten years ago from a Corvette dealership in Orlando Florida.  I had owned a Grand Sport previously, but had to move to Denver so I had to let it go.  Once I got back out California, I missed it enough that I knew I had to find another one.

For those that don't know, the Grand Sport was the last of the C4 Corvettes ever produced, and was meant to send the C4 off in a big way.  It was given it's signature admiral blue with white stripe paint job, black ZR-1 style wheels, and some major engine upgrades to give it the one year only LT4 motor, among other improvements.  For a complete rundown on all of the changes to the Grand Sport over the regular Corvette, I'd really recommend checking out GrandSportRegistry.com.  It's an excellent resource, and I found it super handy while I was looking for mine.

Only 1,000 of these cars were ever produced.  Of that 1,000 only 810 where Coupes.  Of that 810 only 206 came with the Black Interior and with the F45 adjustable suspension.

Everything on the car is stock, just like the day it came off the line.

I'm a huge fan of the car.  It's not exactly what you'd call fast in a street light to street light kind of way, but my God, it is one of the best touring cars I've ever driven.  It's extremely comfortable once your inside ( which I'll admit, is a bit difficult due to the ride height, it's not the kind of car you'd want to go do errands in ), and it seems like it was built for the open road.  It's highly stable at very high speeds, and seems to have been geared more for top end cruising than drag racing.  I've taken several road trips in it, and have never once regretted choosing it over anything else.  I also find it to be one of the most beautiful cars ever produced.  The paint alone is absolutely stunning, but matched with the aggressive styling of the C4, the car is an absolute head turner.  I guarantee the next owner won't be able to take it out for a weekend and avoid getting some shout outs, she's absolutely beautiful out on the road.

Unfortunately due to some circumstances in my life I've had less and less free time to take her out and really enjoy her.  She deserves to be out there one the road doing what she was built to do, not sitting in a garage.  It's my most sincere hope that her next owner has the time to enjoy and respect her the way she deserves ( please, in the name of all that is good and Holy, DO NOT PUT A SPOILER ON HER ).

Thanks very much for looking.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.

2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
