This is a 40th Anniversary year model and I am the second owner and have owned this Corvette since 1994. This car has always been kept garaged and covered when not in use. There are only some very minor nicks in the paint and no damage anywhere. All the accessories and equipment are in perfect working order. It has a passive lock and unlock system ABS and traction control, power windows and driver seat, air conditioning, AM FM cassette stereo and a factory alarm system.  The leather seats are embossed with the 40th Anniversary logo and the interior is in excellent condition and it also has new floor mats with the 40th Anniversary logo.  The interior is all original except for the floor mats. I have installed stainless steel drilled and slotted brake rotors with ceramic brake pads. It has Grand Sport style wheels and the tires only have about 2,000 miles on them and Edelbrock shocks.
Engine modifications are;
  • Ported and polished cylinder heads with larger valves and flow tested by Steigemeier Racing Heads.
  • The intake manifold has been port matched to the heads
  • Competition Cams full roller rocker arms 1.7 to 1 ratio and Comp valve springs.
  • MSD6AL ignition and Taylor spark plug wires.
  • Edelbrock BBK 58mm throttle body
  • Accel 30 lbs per hour fuel injectors.
  • SLP shorty exhaust headers with Borla mufflers
  • Fidanza light weight fly wheel with Spec stage 2 clutch and pressure plate
  • Hurst short throw shifter
  • Custom calibrated engine management prom.
This engine runs strong but is mild mannered for street driving and is very fast when you want it to be. It has never been raced or abused.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
