Dixon, California, United States
SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!!!!! DON’T BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BUY!!!! DON’T WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS………. LOW, REASONABLE RESERVE!!!!!!!! CLEAN CALIFORNIA TITLE!! FULLY LOADED!
This auction is for my 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary Edition, Ruby Red!!!! Carfax is clean- email me for a copy. It is a nice driver condition 93 Vette. It has approximately 118k miles. It runs and drives great. It has the 350 LT1 automatic combination. It has a targa top with the clear roof. Interior is in nice condition- seats have no rips and are not totally worn- i'd say they are nice for 20 year old leather. Both power windows roll up and down nicely. Air conditioning blows cold. The car has ZR-1 emblems on the fenders; it is NOT a ZR1.
The car is in decent condition and is a very nice driver. To make it perfect it needs a little tlc- the paint looks nice but has some scratches, etc. The front bumper cover has chips and paint runs. Weatherstripping is old and cracking in some places. Clearcoat on the rims is peeling. Needs new tires. The car should be started every so often otherwise the battery gets drained. The targa top is has some fading and scratches. If the winning bidder is interested, I have a turquoise top that needs slight repair that I would include in the deal for future ruby red painting. CD player doesn't eject. I have a

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors
Mon, 04 Feb 2013As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Scroll down below for an official announcement from General Motors.
Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
