Up for auction is a 1990 corvette, I am selling this car for a friend. The car has is in great shape . It runs strong and shift points feel good, The car has had many new parts and regular maintenance has been preformed. Last year , transmission rebuilt, new carpet, seat covers ,power antenna replaced . This year new tires, remanufactured engine complete with plugs wires cap rotor , thermostat . New alternator , new injectors . 2k on engine, now great oil pressure . Idles nice and runs cool. Work was preformed by Corvette Doctor in Florida. The car is located in palm bay Florida. Car is garage kept and convertible top is nice! Paint cleans up nicely , there are some assorted scratches on the sides and rear. and a scuff on rf bumper. The radio is a touch screen with blue tooth , sounds great! Still has original Delco /Bose speakers in the rear...If one wanted to go back to the original radio. Antilock brakes work, ac is good , power windows and seats work. Power steering quiet , No rust under car ! Amazing ... frame looks like new! Just a fun ride. needs new console lid and column tightened . I trust this car to drive co California if one wanted to , Rear end is quiet and fluid is good. Car is being offered with no reserve. PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
