1979 Chevy Corvette L82 Factory High Performance Option with Aluminum Intake Time Capsule Numbers Matching ALL ORIGINAL DOWN TO THE PAINT!!!! The car has been in storage many years but is a perfect car to freshen up or restore!! The body is mint never hit all the original bonding seems are perfect even the original bumpers have no stress cracking just some paint fade!!! The paint is 100% original and for 35 years old looks good (its dull may polish up) NO BUBBLES NO SPIDER CRACKS will be a very easy car to repaint NO BODY WORK DONE OR NEEDED (One chip in fender and drivers head light door needs to be replaced thats all I see)! The interior is mostly original (Radio changed) and again for its age looks good (not perfect) dash has no crack gauges are not faded (has correct L82 Tach and 140mph speedo) seats need to recovered etc. T-tops come on and off the way the should. Under the hood everything seems to be original the car does start right up seems to run good does drive in the driveway (Thats as much as I know) but it has been sitting a long time so it should be gone over and brakes bleed before it goes back on the road. Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
