I have a 1977(Early) model corvette that has been almost fully restored. Interior has been restored to original smoked grey leather. Car has been painted a GM color (charcoal) but is not an original corvette color. The original color was silver. Odometer: 65,931(not sure if that's original, previous owner did not know). All gauges on dash work, except for the clock. Vacuum for headlights work great as well as all other exterior lights.
Has all new brakes/calipers, exhaust, tires, A/C lines, interior seals, and radiator. I DO NOT think it is the original motor. GM motor but I have not located matching numbers to the VIN. Front speakers and horn do not work. Previous owner did not know if horn was disconnected or not. Also, I had a radio installed(resembles old style from factory but is digital) plus two 6" x 9" box speakers placed in rear. Power window motors were replaced and are very strong. A/C is R12 and I have not had it charged due to the cost. It can be converted to R134. Serious inquiries only please and call me at 919-422-0467 or email. CAR MUST GO!!!!!!! |

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
