1965 Corvair Monza Four Door on 2040-cars
Brewerton, New York, United States
1965 Monza four door. First I am lifelong Corvair guy and I know these inside and out. This is a NICE CLEAN car. 110 powerglide with 54825 miles. Paint shows beautifully, interior darn near perfect, trunk freshly splatter painted and engine compartment shows well. It has a spare I just didnt have it in when I took pics. I have many cars and need to thin the herd. I see NO signs of any major rust repair. Floors trunk door jambs etc super solid. I cannot stand powerglides that leak so I installed Clarks aluminum pan ($280) and put a new o ring on the shifter cable. It has Fitch style duals that sound great and its quiet inside while driving. Nice radials and it is one of the best driving ones I have ever owned. No junk, no surprises, everything works as it should jump in and go to the car shows. The oil was even just changed ans a new battery! For years it seemed no one wanted a four door now theyre getting hard to find. The vinyl top is not factory but perfect condition and I think it looks sharp. This car will NOT come with the wire wheel covers rather a decnt set of 65 wheel covers. I will assist with shipping. I have over 1500 positive feedback so bid with confidence. Cash on delivery or bank check or wire transfer 5 business days prior to pick up. Call me anytime to discuss (315) 415 0261.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
