1965 Chevy Corvair Greenbrier 6 Door Van on 2040-cars
Kenner, Louisiana, United States
Well the time has come to thin the herd. For your consideration, a very nice drive quality Greenbrier Van. Last year of production, under 1900 built. I have done all of the big things to get the van right. The van was originally light blue. Decent re-paint to a better color. The van rides and stops very nice. Steering box rebuilt, steel lines replaced,( brake, fuel, transmission cooler). Engine re-sealed, trans mount rebuilt, motor mount, engine compartment wire harness replaced. Belt, spark plug wires, blower bearing all replaced. New Spark plugs and Petronix ignition module. Fuel Tank cleaned and resealed, new Clark's stainless steel fuel pick up and sending unit. Tires are fairly new as the battery. The under carriage has been cleaned, chem primed and painted black. Clark's steering stabilizer installed. Things I still wanted to do, fuel gauge seems to have a bad ground at the dash. Transmission shifts out of low gear a little too soon for me. Transmission cooler has started to leak a little. I would put the breaker points plate back in the distributor and ditch the Petronix. That is a good weekend worth of work to put the van in finished shape. I looked long and hard for a 1965 Greenbrier before I found this one and plan on keeping it forever, but grand kids and life have changed my priorities. I am also selling my 1964 Rampside and my 1965 Monza convertible. The van needs to be driven and enjoyed. I have not put 200 miles on it since the three years I have owned it. Please ask questions before bidding. Buyer is responsible for lining up shipping and shipping cost.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
