I am selling my 1965 corvair corsa. The car is in very good condition and runs great. I have some unexpected expenses so I need to sell the car. I have not owned it very long, but I purchased it from a gentleman who owned it for about 25 years and took very good care of it. It could use a new paint job at some point, but is presentable. The black convertible top is in very good condition- no rips or tears. The upholstery is original, and other then a small spot that has been repaired on top of the front passenger seat, is also in very good condition. According to documentation I received with the car, the gentleman who owned the car before me, updated the engine with another newer corsa engine that had approx. 35,000 miles on it. The engine now has about 42,000 miles on it. He also had extensive work done on the car, including having the carbs rebuilt, by renowned corvair specialist, Larry Claypool at the Vair Shop in Frankfort Illnois. Corvair wire wheel covers and tires are in excellent condition. The car has a few minor dings and scratches, but overall, it is an excellent example of a very nice and true Corsa convertible. Thanks!

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.

General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
