1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Convertible, 4-speed, White/red Interior New Roof on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
For Sale is a 1965 Chevy Corvair Corsa Convertible with @104K Miles on It. It is 140 HP model.
It has been garaged in Las Vegas and has been a reliable method of transport for over a decade. The car has been in my family for over 2 decades and was originally purchased out of Texas. My dad gave it to me when he retired. I did the following to it (with the help of Marty Katz): 1) Installed Seat Belts. 2) Regular Maintenance 3) Put on a new roof last year. 4) Tires are fairly new with little mileage 5) It has been recently detailed and waxed. 6) Battery is brand new. It has the following: 1) Extremely minor rust. I have taken photos. 2) Clock works intermittently 3) Horn has a short. I have disconnected it. This is an easy repair. 4) AM radio has static sometimes. It's an AM Radio. I am including an AM/FM Radio 5) I am including an extra side mirror as well. 6) It is missing the lighter. 7) the driver's side door panel is a bit warped. This is minor. You can see it in photos. 8) there is some peeling paint in the vent for the engine. The metal underneath is completely clean. 7) The windshield wipers work, but the motor for washer fluid needs to be replaced. It never worked. WIPERS are new, though. 8) The roof is manual. 9) Completely clean title. It is located in Henderson/Anthem, which is just southeast of Las Vegas. If you are close by, come on and take it for a spin. I recently drove a few hundred miles around town. It has been completely reliable. Item is subject to prior sale. |

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
