1962 Chevy Corvair Convertible I have an antiquity company in the middle of This is one of those items: We received this beautiful Corvair from a very dear friend in The total cost of the restoration was over 10k. The car runs and drives like brand new and looks fantastic. Please refer to the pictures. Even though our friend spent so much time and money restoring the car he barely drove it as it was just a toy to him. The car has a new engine, new transmission, new paint job, new carburetor rebuild, new gas tank, new interior, new wheels and new tires, etc. The restoration was completed several years ago. Even though the carburetors have been upgraded we have all the original carburetor covers etc per pictures. Please remember that even thought this is a beautiful/mint car it is not a 100 point car. All the parts have been done by a famous Corvair Specialist and we have all the receipts. The car runs and drives fantastic and looks like brand new. It comes with a clear All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Remember that this classic automobile is 51 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
