1960 Corvair Rampside on 2040-cars
Lincoln, California, United States
This Rampside is listed in the California DMV as a 1960 (title shows it) I believe it was purchased in late 1960 when they were rolling out the new models for 1961 but never the less it is registered as a 1960 Corvair 95 Rampside.
Purchased Corvair couple years ago had it Blasted then all rust removed with new sheet metal. Painted Rampside Lemons Blue with Silky White and Black Pinstripping. Cleared it with a Matte finish. New Interior carpet and seat painted and the dash is uncut (comes with original radio not installed) All new weatherstripping, spray on bedliner, new chrome, and new tires. I purchased this Corvair for my Business for display at Home and Garden shows to attract people my way, and It most definitely worked. You do not see these rampsides anywhere so to see one in this great of condition people will come by to talk to you about it. Glass is installed on Rampside pictures do not show it, but it has been installed with all new weatherstripping. Rampside will need a brake job on it and probably a tune up has not been driven much a lot of times trailored to the Home and Garden Shows with the rest of the Display. There is no reserve on this Corvair. |

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
