SEASON's GREETINGS!!

New Lower Reserve

Up for auction is a "Like New" extremely low mileage Cobalt SS/SC Supercharged Coupe.

This car has been owned/driven by two 50 plus year old males, stored indoors all it's life, never driven in winter,  been in the rain just once!!

Original owner sold to me after GM confirmed the Camaro was being reintroduced so he could save for his "dream car".
I purchased after he had a GM Dealer install their awesome Stage II Performance Kit (Larger Injectors, OD Supercharger Pulley, ECM Reprogram).

GM did their homework on this update and driveability is superb!! Highway fuel usage averages between 30-32 MPG driven sensibly.  The car handles and rides well enough to compete with modern Corvettes in the corners.

Stock horsepower was 205 HP, fun for a light car, yet lacking the thrill of a muscle car.   Stage II kit produces 245-250 HP, BIG IMPROVEMENT!!    I have a brand new in original box Vibrant Performance Stainless Steel Header/Cat Back polished "FULL" exhaust system and a AEM Dry Flow Cold-Air Intake kit that will be included in the price. (See pics)

The header system and AEM Intake kit installed will increase horsepower to 275 285 BHP!!

285 BHP Cobalt= 400 to 500 BHP Corvette when considering power to weight ratios!!

This cars condition is "showroom", looks, smells and drives like new and has never been abused.

If you always wanted a GM performance vehicle without the payments, here is a rare opportunity to buy an unmolested awesome ride. Try to find a performance car in this condition that was not flogged by some young driver or modified and street raced daily, you won't!!

This car was driven once or twice a year before family commitments limited my time to drive.

I now need the room inside to expand my business and have reluctantly decided to sell this car knowing it will be impossible to replace.

There is not a more pristine,  lower mileage
Cobalt SS/SC in existence, as I spent three years searching before I found this one!!
If your a perfectionist like me, your search is over- No disappointments, no surprises!!

Arrival Blue color- These pictures cannot duplicate the true radiance of this color to the human eye.  This car absolutely turns heads everywhere you go!

Has every option available except the Recaro seats.    SS perforated leather seating is very supportive for aggressive cornering and more comfortable on long distance rides.

245-250 HP GM Stage II Equipped - Liquid to Air Inter-Cooler
5-Speed Manual
Stability Control
4-Wheel ABS
Speed Sensitive Steering
Two Tone Leather Seat Upgrade
Seven Speaker Pioneer Stereo System w/ Sub Woofer, MP3/CD
XM

Driving Lights
Power Windows/Power Locks/Power Trunk Lid
Keyless Entry
Boost/Vacuum Gauge
Dual Trip Meters

2005 GM Sales Brochures Included With The Sale

Vibrant 304 Stainless Steel Headers/CAT-Back Exhaust System and AEM Dry Flow Intake kit were $1595.00.   Will make a great upgrade for an already impressive car!!

If you have any questions, please call and leave me a message.   I will return your call later in the day.  Due to recent scammers activity, please DO NOT TEXT me for info.  I will not return TEXT messages.  Please call if you want to discuss this car in greater detail.

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
